Jesus: Our Hope in Life And Death | Matthew 9:18-26

A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 9:18-26

Matthew had just described for us Jesus’ encounter with John’s disciples in which He dropped a huge bomb - "I am the bridegroom you have been waiting for, for centuries! A new era is upon you! This is no time for fasting, it’s time to feast! Things are gonna be radically different from now on. I’m not just another prophet like those before Me; I can’t be patched on to an old system of doing things - I came to make all things new!" And now, Matthew proceeds to show that since Jesus is the Promised Bridegroom who came to make all things new, He is our only hope in this life and the next!

Theme: Jesus came to touch sinners and give life not only to the living but even to those already dead.
