Isaiah 40 marks a significant shift as the prophet now speaks to the discouraged Jews in Babylonian exile, who feel defeated and believe God has let them down. Despite this, God comforts them in their despair.

Big Idea: God does not forsake those who turn away from Him but offers them comfort—Jesus. So take comfort in Him and take His comfort to others!
