The Heart of Christ Towards Sinners | Matthew 23:37-39

A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 23:37-39.

Having just condemned the religious leaders of His people as hypocrites, and with those rebukes still ringing in the ears of the crowd, Jesus begins to openly express His heart — a broken heart for the very people He has just condemned. Here's a picture of God: one who does not delight in the destruction of sinners but rejoices when they turn from their sin and flee to Him for grace.

Big Idea: Behold and bestow God’s compassion, which continually pursues to protect us from the coming judgment.
