A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 10:5b-15
Now that the twelve ordinary men are called and equipped for the mission, Jesus gives them specific instructions which ultimately focus on His person and work. In the same way that Matt 5:1-4 taught that discipleship exists to make much of Jesus, verses 5-15 teach that missions exist for the same purpose: to present Jesus as Savior and Lord! Missions belong to the Lord!
Big Idea: The Goal of Missions is to present Jesus as Savior and Lord!
- Jesus is the Commander of the Mission (5b-8)
- Jesus is the Provider for the Mission (9-11)
- Jesus is the Lord of the Mission (12-15)
