A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 13:24-30; 36-43
The immediate, natural reaction of the people to Jesus’ proclamation of the presence of the kingdom was to wonder about the continuing presence of evil in the world. The Jews were expecting the complete removal of all that opposed the Lord (Zech 14:9), so to find out that the kingdom would have that kind of toleration was quite a revelation of God’s merciful patience with mankind.
Big Idea: Christian, don’t be surprised at the abundance of evil around you, but be encouraged - Christ will preserve you for glory and judge all evil.
- The Parable: Don’t Be Surprised at the Abundance of Evil! (24-30)
- The Promise: Evil will be Judged While The Righteous will be Preserved! (36-43)
- The Principles: Live as Sons of the Kingdom!
