Sunday Jun 26, 2022
A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 13:31-35
When you look at a world of billions of people ravaged by wars, diseases, famines, and natural disasters, do you wonder if Jesus is in control? It often feels like Christianity is weak and small, hated by the media, persecuted worldwide, and on the verge of being wiped out. If we’re feeling this way today - Jesus wants to encourage us this morning as He encouraged His disciples.
Big Idea: Do not be put off by what appears tiny and unimpressive - Christ will continue to transform people until His Kingdom encompasses the whole world.

Wheat & Weeds: Kingdom in Conflict | Matthew 13:24-30; 36-43
Sunday Jun 12, 2022
Sunday Jun 12, 2022
A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 13:24-30; 36-43
The immediate, natural reaction of the people to Jesus’ proclamation of the presence of the kingdom was to wonder about the continuing presence of evil in the world. The Jews were expecting the complete removal of all that opposed the Lord (Zech 14:9), so to find out that the kingdom would have that kind of toleration was quite a revelation of God’s merciful patience with mankind.
Big Idea: Christian, don’t be surprised at the abundance of evil around you, but be encouraged - Christ will preserve you for glory and judge all evil.
The Parable: Don’t Be Surprised at the Abundance of Evil! (24-30)
The Promise: Evil will be Judged While The Righteous will be Preserved! (36-43)

Sower And Soils: Responding To The Gospel | Matthew 13:3-9; 18-23
Sunday Jun 05, 2022
Sunday Jun 05, 2022
A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 13:3-9; 18-23
In the parable of the sower, Jesus describes the different responses to His teaching ministry and why these different reactions exist. The parable is a mirror: it shows people where they stand in reference to the Word of the Kingdom (gospel).
Big Idea: Our response to the Gospel does not depend on the messenger or the message but on the condition of our hearts.
The Compacted Heart: Hears BUT does not Understand (3-4; 19)
The Circumstantial Heart: Hears BUT does not Endure (5-6; 20-21)
The Compromised Heart: Hears BUT does not Bear Fruit (7; 22)
The Good Heart: Hears AND Bears Fruit (8; 23)

Sunday May 29, 2022
Sunday May 29, 2022
A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 13:1-3; 10-17
Matthew 13 marks a turning point in Jesus' ministry. Through the use of parables, Jesus veils the truth of the kingdom from the crowds because of their previous response to the clear revelation of Christ - The King was in their midst, but they didn't submit to Him in faith.
Big Idea: Parables teach that understanding of God’s truth is graciously given to those who believe in Christ and His Word.
To Express a Turning Point in Jesus’ Ministry (1-3)
To Emphasize God’s Grace and Human Responsibility (10-12)
To Expose the Hearts of His Hearers (13-17)

New Position, New Direction | Colossians 3:1-4
Sunday May 22, 2022
Sunday May 22, 2022
A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Colossians 3:1-4
Colossians is pure Christology. In chapters 1-2, Paul defends the supremacy of Jesus Christ over creation, salvation, and the church. In chapters 3-4, he emphasizes the supremacy of Christ over the personal life of every believer. Colossians 3:1-4 is a bridge that joins both sections in which Paul lays down the requirements and reasons for living with heavenly priorities.
Big Idea: Our new position in Christ results in a new direction in life.
Keep Seeking Christ! (1-2)
Because You have been Made Alive in Him (1a, 3a)
Because You are Hidden with Him (3b)
Because You will be Glorified with Him (4)

None Greater than Christ | Matthew 12:38-50
Sunday May 15, 2022
Sunday May 15, 2022
A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 12:38-50
Throughout the gospel, Matthew's message to his readers is simple: Jesus is the Christ, and there is none greater than Him. As Jesus closes His exchange with the scribe and Pharisees in Matthew 12, He drives this point home: To reject Him is to reject God's greatest message and our greatest hope.
Big Idea: The greatness of Christ demands a radical response of faith.
Christ is the Greatest Prophet (38-41)
Christ is the Greatest King (42-45)
Christ is the Greatest Love (46-50)

From Heart to Mouth | Matthew 12:33-37
Sunday May 01, 2022
Sunday May 01, 2022
A sermon by Pastor Tim Vusik from Matthew 12:33-37
While addressing the Pharisees' slander against Him, Jesus taught an important lesson. Pharisees' words did not sentence them to eternal condemnation. Instead, their words only exposed a person with an evil heart who was already condemned because man’s words reveal man’s heart.
Big Idea: Your words display your heart. The solution to a month that speaks evil is a repentant heart that values Christ.
Your Words Display Your Heart (33-34)
Your Words Declare Your Values (35)
Your Words Disclose Your Destiny (36-37)
