As we enter the Christmas season, we’re reminded that the One who wrote the story of creation also stepped into it. In the opening of his Gospel, John lifts our eyes above the manger and back before shepherds, before Mary and Joseph, before even the world existed. Before all this, Jesus already was.
Big Idea: Because Jesus is the eternal source of life, He came to show us the way of life.

As Paul closes the letter, he doesn’t call Timothy to simply try harder or push himself further. Instead, he first reminds him that he's a man of God and then issues five activities that naturally flow from that identity.

We live in a world that says contentment is always one purchase, promotion, or prayer away. But we often bring that mindset into our walk with Christ, treating godliness as a way to get blessings, rather than seeing godliness itself as the blessing.
